OPERATIONAL GUIDE

Read this comprehensive guide to understand the mechanics of the PumpTrader engine — the ultimate Pump.fun trading bot — before your first session.

WHAT IS PUMPTRADER?

PumpTrader is a paper trading simulator and elite automation tool for Solana and Pump.fun tokens. It is engineered to operate as a high-speed Pump.fun trading bot, allowing you to test and refine your filter & strategy settings risk-free. By using real-time market data but executing without risking real funds by default, you can safely gather actionable metrics before deploying to live execution.

HOW THE ENGINE WORKS

PumpTrader runs two systems simultaneously when you press START ENGINE:

1. MARKET SCANNER

Scans the market every 30 seconds. Applies your Entry Filter rules to all discovered tokens. Tokens that pass ALL filters are queued as trade candidates. Changes to Entry Filters apply immediately.

2. TRADING ENGINE

Picks up candidates and decides whether to open a position. Manages all open positions and monitors exit conditions continuously. Strategy settings are loaded at startup — changes require a restart to take effect.

QUICK START STEPS

  1. Go to Integrations and paste your Jupiter API Key.
  2. Go to Entry Filters and review the default values.
  3. Go to Strategy and review stop loss and trade amount.
  4. Return to Dashboard and press START ENGINE.
  5. Watch active positions and console output in real time.
  6. Press STOP ENGINE to end the session. Open positions are sold at current market price.

SESSIONS & HISTORY

Every engine start creates a new Session. Each session tracks start/end balance, duration, win/loss count, and the exact filter configuration used.

The History page allows you to expand sessions to see individual trades. You can export session data as CSV for external analysis or clear history when needed.

DATA-DRIVEN ANALYSIS

After accumulating at least 5-10 trades, the Analysis page provides insights:

  • Entry Metrics: Median values for winners vs losers.
  • Filter Suggestions: Parameter adjustments based on data gaps.
  • Exit Strategy: Breakdown of performance by exit reason.
  • Actionable Rules: IF/THEN rules derived from your trade history.

CSV EXPORT & IMPORT WORKFLOW

Iterate on your strategy using this loop:

  1. Run a session and collect 30-50 trades.
  2. Open Analysis → Run Analysis → Review Actionable Rules.
  3. Adjust parameters in Entry Filters based on the data.
  4. Save & Apply the new config and start a new session.

TIPS & COMMON MISTAKES

  • Let the bot run for at least 2 hours before judging performance.
  • Start with conservative filters (higher Min Age).
  • Monitor "Profit Factor" rather than just Win Rate.
  • Don't change Strategy settings mid-session (they won't load).
  • Don't set Trade Amount too high relative to balance.
  • Don't delete sessions before analyzing their data.
